Overview

Food videography is not unlike food photography. Chances are you can use the same camera to do both. Like in food photography, you need to pay attention to lighting, composition, framing, colour, texture, lines, shapes, props, styling, and food. However, that’s where the similarities end. There are three creative aspects unique to videography: movement and action, the passage of time, and audio.

Videos can also be a powerful medium and play an essential role in B2B eCommerce. They bring brand storytelling to life, keep buyers inspired and informed, help answer common buyer questions, and, most importantly, positively influence buyer experience.

Once buyers land on a B2B eCommerce site, the primary objective is to guide them to make a purchase. From clever site navigation to sleek and functional product descriptions, the key is to keep customers focused on making a purchase; that’s what they came to do after all.  Closing a B2B sale online is a game of grabbing the attention and maintaining the focus on the task at hand.

Once a buyer presses the play button, a video takes over the screen. It acts as the main persuasion point, your digital salesperson. And like Food Photography in B2B sales, a video that perfectly captures the essence of a brand or food product can be the added value to close a deal when you grant access to your customer to use the video in their marketing campaigns.

Completing this Module will help you:

This unit aims is to master the techniques to make sure that the quality of your food photography meets the standards that B2B Buyers expect. Plus how to achieve professional-looking photographs shot on something as simple as a smartphone camera.
